Italian studio Pininfarina, as it turned out, not only came up with the design of the Foxtron Model E electric car, but also “completely built” the prototype at its base in Cambiano. (Foxconn posted a video about the creation process.) Now you can see that the Model E is truly a “luxury flagship sedan” and not a liftback. Moreover, he is already moving under his own power. It is unlikely that “yeshka” develops all 559 kW (760 hp) and accelerates to a hundred in 2.8 seconds, but there is still a lot of time – the start of sales is scheduled for 2023.
Briton Kevin Rice, ex-designer of BMW and Mazda, is responsible for both the exterior of the Model E and its interior design. “Elegant design timeless” is backed by an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.22 (as in the Mercedes A-Class and S-Class). Length – 5100 mm, width – 2000, wheelbase – 3100.
The video shows a bizarre lighting technique that “communicates with the outside world” through light symbols and inscriptions. Meanwhile, the “totally unique” interior design “blends classics with cutting-edge technology,” such as facial recognition and “smart surfaces”.
The importance of the sedan for Foxconn is confirmed by its head Terry Gow, who at the presentation got behind the wheel of the “Yeshki” without looking inside other prototypes. Pininfarina has no involvement with the Model C crossover and the Model T electric bus, but hopes to continue working with Foxtron.
“We share the same values, such as a commitment to innovation and a focus on the environment. We now have a partner to jointly explore the future of electromobility, ”said Pininfarina chief Silvio Angori.
