Polestar updated its “second” model for America and, following the European version, added new equipment packages to the car, but most importantly, the electric car received a single-engine power plant.

The Plus Pack can now be ordered for Polestar 2 ($ 4,000 surcharge). It includes a heat pump that saves battery power in inclement weather, plus a large panoramic roof, Harman Kardon sound system and WeaveTech upholstery.

The $ 3,200 Pilot package offers enhanced safety and driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot tracking, reverse collision warning, all-round visibility and parking sensors.

The $ 5,000 Performance Kit features adjustable Ohlins shocks, 20-inch forged discs, BrembO brakes and Continental sports tires.

Optional Nappa leather upholstery ($ 4,000) and uniquely patterned 20-inch wheels ($ 1,200).

Now for the single-engine installation. Its power is 231 hp, and the starting price of this version is $ 45,900. However, taking into account subsidies and benefits for electric cars, for example, as in California, the cost of the car will be $ 34,900. The cruising range according to the strict American EPA cycle is 426 km.

Twin-engine Polestar 2 is more expensive – from $ 49,900, and with subsidies – $ 38,900. Its range is 400 km, and its power is 408 hp.

The start of deliveries of updated copies of Polestar 2 is scheduled for the end of the year.
