The cancellation of the Geneva motor show on the background of the pandemic COVID-19 has forced many manufacturers to postpone the already scheduled premiere in the Internet. So did mark Polestar, declassified in late February, a very spectacular concept Precept. At that time it was reported that this is the first example of a new corporate identity, but now we found out that the show car performs more specific tasks.

Head of design Maximilian Missoni told us that Precept not only gives a General idea about the new design philosophy of the brand, but also is a harbinger of the next production model – 3 Polestar. The “Troika” will not be a sedan and crossover. The designer himself calls the upcoming new aerodynamic SUV. On this basis, we can assume that the car will perform in fashion in our days, the form factor of the cross-coupe.

In addition to the subordinates of the aerodynamic shape of the body, Polestar Precept is interesting for its front part with a new interpretation of optics “Thor’s hammer” and hidden radar and camera for autopilot and new driver interface, developed in collaboration with Google. According to Maximilian Missoni, this collaboration is the most important thing in interior concept. Apparently, the 12.5-inch dashboard and 15-inch touchscreen infotainment complex will transfer to Polestar 3 without any changes.

Now the company’s product line consists of plug-in hybrid coupe Polestar 1 and a fully electric saloon Polestar 2. The last only recently got on the conveyor in China.
