At the end of last year, Porsche has released a concept image of the upcoming model, and now, finally, prepared for the official premiere of the production version of the 911 Speedster.
The new Porsche 911 Speedster is the classical atmospheric inline 6-cylinder engine, developing 502 HP and 470 Nm of torque, and an incredible 9000 rpm. It’s the same engine that is installed in the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS, and includes a special throttle like on a racing 911 GT3 R.
The 911 Speedster will be sold exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h the assurance of a Porsche should only take 3.8 seconds and top speed is 310 km/h.
Porsche focused on the 911 Speedster was as light as possible, so that the trunk lid, rear lid and front wings made of carbon fiber. Standard equipment also includes composite brakes, which helped bring the weight of the model up to 1465 pounds.
Although suspension Speedster is similar to the 911 GT3, it includes specially calibrated steering and a new engine mounting and include as standard 20-inch wheels.
The 911 Speedster has a very low front windshield, and promises to offer one of the best driving experience among all versions of the 911. Pre-order the sports car will be available from the 7th of may and the end of the year the first cars will arrive to customers.
