Porsche 911 turn in “off-road supercar”


After the death of Uwe GEMBALLA famous German company Gemballa has changed owners, but continued the business of the original company. Now the baton of the father takes Marc Philipp GEMBALLA. However, he has his own car company that is ready to show in Geneva its first project – a tribute to the legendary Porsche 959.

Brand Philip the GEMBALLA 26 years. He studied Economics at the business school, European Business School (EBS University), located near Frankfurt-on-main, and has worked with Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. In “Aston”, for example, the GEMBALLA trained, and then took the position of planner product. In the spring of 2018 Marc Philippe founded his own company, MP Gemballa, which will present the debut project at a private event at the Geneva motor show.

New car GEMBALLA, apparently, is a redesigned version of the Porsche 911 series 992, made with an eye to the legendary 959-th. This information was confirmed by Alan Derosier responsible for the design of the machine – Derosier previously held the position of designer of exteriors at Renault, Faraday Future and Chery, and now heads the auto direction Stuttgart Studio studiokurbos. His creation Marc Philipp GEMBALLA calls the “off-road supercar”, believing that the time has come for truly unique cars.

Among the partners are MP Gemballa KW Automotive (suspension), Michelin & BF Goodrich (tires), Akrapovic (exhaust system), Staud Studios (marketing), DS-Fasertechnik (details of CFRP) and VELA Performance (engineering). The project is fully sponsored and the company even received a few orders.


The Porsche 959, which will send a car to GEMBALLA, at one time was considered the fastest production road car. 450-HP four-wheel drive monster boxer “by wintersolstice” 2.8 could develop to 339 kilometers per hour. In 1986 959-e won first, second and sixth place in the rally-RAID “Paris – Dakar”.
