Porsche announced the amount of pre-orders for the electric car Taycan

Porsche has released updated information on the pre-orders for the first electric car company, Porsche Taycan. Due to the fact that clients can register their interests, the Porsche has collected almost as many pre-orders as planned to produce electric vehicles.

According to Andrea Haffner (Haffner Andreas) on electric Taycan decorated 30,000 pre-orders. It’s at 10,000 pre-orders more than previously reported. These figures can be taken quite seriously. Potential customers have been made to the list after making the initial payment in the amount of €2500.

High demand has led to an increase in production capacity starting from 20 000 to 40 000 electric cars per year, as announced in January. Andrew Lennon, responsible for the communication products in the Porsche North America, said that the company may increase the capacity from the beginning, and executives recently made the decision to go forward. Porsche CEO Oliver Blum confirmed that the interest is much above what was originally expected, and especially before anyone has seen the electric car.

Porsche Taycan will be presented on 4 September 2019, and its launch is scheduled shortly thereafter. It is expected that the cheapest of the four planned variants of Taycan’s will cost about €90 000. At this price, owners will receive a battery capacity of 80 kWh and the electric motor on the rear axle capacity of 322 HP or 376 HP

The top-end Turbo model will be equipped with two motors of 160 kW at the front axle and 300 kW at the rear axle. Maximum cruising range on a single charge is more than 500 kilometres on the NEDC cycle, and thanks to 800-volt architecture vehicle fast charging using a 250 kW charger takes about four minutes.

Porsche will employ another 1,500 people for the new production of electric vehicles in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.

Recall, Porsche Taycan will officially appear in Ukraine in the 1st quarter of 2020.
