Obviously, now the largest Porsche collection is complete: “driversa” modification GTS announced for the traditional five-door crossover, and Cayenne Coupe, which first appeared only last year.
And if in the previous generation “Cayenne” this modification was completed with the 3.6-liter V6 with output of 440 HP, now he has got eight-cylinder engine similar to the Panamera. It develops 460 HP and 620 Nm of torque, which puts Cayenne GTS between the Cayenne S and the 550-horsepower Cayenne Turbo. A working engine is paired with eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive system.
Data on the dynamics of the new crossovers are made public only to the United States with their miles, and up to 60 mph (96 km/h) both crossover will accelerate in 4.5 seconds (4.2 seconds with Sport Chrono package). This, by the way, 0.4 (and 0.6) faster than pre-reform Cayenne GTS. The maximum speed declared for both new – 270 km/h, and it is also faster than before. Another interesting detail – the Sport Chrono package included a standard on the Cayenne GTS Coupe, but the traditional SUV buyers will have to pay for it.
The basic package also includes a sports exhaust system, but for the coupe is optionally available another feature is the unusual exhaust configuration with two oval tailpipes arranged at the centre of the rear bumper. This is the same option that has puzzled once photospies during the tests GTS Coupe on the Nurburgring. It is argued that this is a loud and solid sound compared to the standard system, but will put it on the car only with “Lite” package Lightweight Sport Package.
But by default, the utility will provide active suspension with PASM adaptive dampers and a three-chambered air bag that provides a reduction in ground clearance by 30 mm compared to the Cayenne S. the standard equipment will include a Sport Design package with black accents in the exterior, including 21-inch wheels and tinted optics.
In the interior both crossovers promise an abundance of Alcantara and specially treated aluminium, sports seats with the developed lateral support and adjustable in eight directions (only for GTS) and many other things proper of the entourage.
Prices at the moment too called for the US only. In North America the Porsche Cayenne GTS will cost at least 107 300 dollars, and for the same coupe will have to pay at least 110 500 dollars – just in the middle between the S and Turbo versions.
In addition, it was noted earlier that the new Porsche 911 Targa has received a special variation. The change occurred only in the exterior of the car.
