Inspired by the GT3 R racing car in Grello livery.
Porsche will release 30 special track coupes 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25, dedicated to the subsidiary (the automaker owns 51% of the shares) German racing team Manthey Racing, which is best known for multiple victories in the endurance races “24 Hours of Nurburgring”. Of the entire batch, six are destined for the United States, each costing € 525,000.
The limited-edition supercar is based on the 991-generation 911 GT2 RS Clubsport with a 3.8-liter, 700-horsepower twin-turbo six. Drive – rear, transmission – seven-speed PDK robot.
The inspiration for the special modification of the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 was the hardcore Porsche 911 GT3 R, refined in its time at Manthey Racing. The novelty uses the same bright colors (the so-called Grello livery), and also an enlarged radiator to maintain a stable engine temperature when operating under high loads.
The developed aerodynamic body kit increases downforce on the front axle, ventilation holes and air ducts provide effective cooling of the main components and assemblies, as well as the driver’s cabin. The suspension has been reconfigured and diluted with components from a modern Porsche 935, and 18-inch wheels with a single hub nut fastening have also passed from it. Everything superfluous to reduce the weight of the supercar has been dismantled from the cabin, there is also a safety cage.
The company has already started accepting pre-orders. Deliveries are expected to begin in January 2022.
