Porsche Design x Puma sneakers: buy in 2.7 seconds

Porsche Design and Puma have released eight sets of shoes inspired by eight generations of the 911 Turbo sports car.

Of the eight sneakers developed by Porsche Design and Puma, four are based on Puma Future Rider shoes, and the remaining four are based on speedcat sneakers inspired by Motorsport.

Shoes based on Future Rider belong to the category of “air-cooled” collection, and shoes based on Speedcat-from the “water-cooled” collection. Thus, the four Puma Future riders will represent the 930 Turbo 3.0 and 3.3, 964 911 Turbo and 993 911 Turbo models. For comparison, the Speedcat series was inspired by the 996, 997, 991 and 992 911 Turbo models.

The Shoe issue is particularly interesting. All eight sneakers are featured on the Porsche Design website, and when the countdown clock reaches zero, a “Buy now” button will appear under each model. However, this button will only be displayed for 2.7 seconds – the same amount of time it takes for a new 911 Turbo to accelerate to 96 km / h. After a click, customers will be given 15 minutes to complete their order.

It’s important to note that this is only for pre-sale, and customers will also be able to buy shoes when they go on regular sale, without having to lightning-click a mouse or touch the screen of their smartphone. It is assumed that each pair will be sold for $ 150.
