The issue of local models of electric cars could be one of the points of the new strategy of the German brand. This was written by the Western automotive media, citing the head of the company Porsche Oliver Blume.
Porsche is going to launch local versions of its electric models, which will be tailored to specific regional markets. Such a policy is now practiced in many automakers wishing to enlist the support of new customers. According to the head of Porsche Blume Oliver, who gave an interview to the British edition of “Autocar”, the modular architecture of electric cars allows you to create a new modification and match different units.
So, for the Chinese market, the brand wants to create a simple and budget electric car for the US, by contrast, is expensive and the most equipped. Both of these cars will boast a high level of Polish and engineering.
By the way, the idea of creating local versions of a car for a Porsche is nothing new. For example, in 2014 the brand has released a base Macan crossover with two-liter turboservice for the markets of China, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil and the UK.
