In his promotional video, which is dedicated to the 54th mu account to the Superbowl USA football, the German brand Porsche showed a glimpse of a new generation of sports coupe 911 GT3 track version.
Back in 1997, the German brand used the last time the super bowl USA football as an excuse to advertise their new model. This year, for the 54th on account of this Grand game, the automaker released a video, which also has a place for advertising. The video titled The Heist (translated as table of contents, theft) “dazzles” the most popular Porsche models, both old and new – but there’s also an “Easter egg”, which we almost missed. Well, almost.
Pause the video at timestamp 0:44 and you will notice the blue Porsche 911 with a chunky rear spoiler and large wheels.
The machine stood in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart (Germany), this place is shown by the background on the video. The car is really similar to the high-performance GT3 generation 992, judging by the tail lights, a chunky rear spoiler and the front. Interesting car remains on the screen for a few seconds, disappears, then re appears at around 0:49 where the camera is “accumulates” on the car even closer to better show us the design of discs and a bit of the front of the car.
Despite the fact that we do not see the car in full, we believe that this “Easter egg” is a way for Porsche to say that the official presentation of the new 911 GT3 will take place on the week of the super bowl in the USA. If our assumptions are correct, this means that there are only a few days before to see the performance coupe 991 (992 generation), which is designed for the race track.
The new GT3 will be equipped with an improved version aspirated inline six-cylinder engine capacity of 4.0 liters. This motor will be upgraded, its capacity will rise from 494 to 550 horsepower.
