Automaker Porsche released photos from the tests in South Africa preparing for the premiere of a hybrid version of the Cayenne crossover new generation, which will receive the prefix E-Hybrid.
In South Africa test test prototypes of the Cayenne E-Hybrid has received quite a extreme. The hybrid powertrain, the crossover will borrow from 4 Panamera E-Hybrid. It consists of a 2.9-litre petrol V6 and biturbomotor built-in robotic box PDK motor. Total capacity is 462 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. However, the technical characteristics of the serial hybrid Cayenne has not yet officially confirmed.
Later Porsche will present the most powerful version of the Cayenne crossover. It may be called Turbo S E-Hybrid for example liftback. It will have the powerplant in the form of a 4.0-litre Biturbo V8 and electric motor with total capacity of about 680 horsepower.
