Porsche tests electric Macan

Porsche has put the electric Macan on trial. This is confirmed by spy photos published by Motor1 Agency on Monday, October 19.

Judging by the photo, the German manufacturer is testing its upcoming electric car on a closed track. In General, the novelty looks like a Cayenne Coupe, but it will be built on a completely new platform, the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which will be the basis for future premium models of the Volkswagen Group concern.

The front part of the novelty is somewhat similar to the Taycan model, along with this, the electric Macan will get a sloped roof and an adjustable spoiler. In addition, on the stern, you can pay attention to the false exhaust pipes of the exhaust system.

Sales of the electric Macan are expected to begin in 2022. Production of the new product will be set up at the Porsche plant in Leipzig. The German-made electric car is expected to make its debut next year.

Recall that the Porsche Macan is a compact cross, built on the basis of the Audi Q5. It should be noted that the presentation of this model took place on November 20, 2013 at the auto show in Los Angeles.

In addition, it was recently noted that electric vehicles will be assembled in China using the Porsche Taycan architecture. It should be emphasized that this became possible after the signing of an agreement between Audi and FAW, which promises to be mutually beneficial.
