Western publications have published a spy video showing a camouflaged prototype of a “charged” Audi RS3 Sportback hatchback.
Looks like Audi is preparing the next version of the much-loved hot hatchback with an in-line 5-cylinder engine. The Nurburgring is where automakers test many of their models, so we’re not surprised to see this disguised “hot” hatchback right here. Judging by the video, the upcoming Audi RS3 Sportback will have great engine sound and some pretty decent track capabilities.
The upcoming 2022 Audi RS3 will debut in September 2021, which means we will see the final production version of the RS3 very soon.
The RS3 is the smallest car in the Audi RS sports brand, but let its size fool you, it’s a car with serious performance. The Audi RS3 comes in America as a sedan, but in Europe, buyers can opt for a more practical hatchback shape.
The current generation Audi RS3 is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline 5-cylinder engine that produces 400 horsepower. This incredible engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through the Audi Quattro all-wheel drive system. The current RS3 has a top speed of 279.97 km / h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds.
The upcoming Audi RS3 will be able to boast all the characteristics of the current generation Audi RS3 and improve everything a little. It will be bigger, more powerful than its predecessor, and will likely get more screens in the cabin and more luxurious interior trim.
