In China started selling the refreshed sedan Hongqi H5. Neither outside nor inside “cityradio” not much has changed, but it got a new engine and the old engine is now on “hybrid” appendage.

In 2020 sedan H5 yielded the leadership of the crossover HS5 (results Jan-may – 18 29 725 143 and PCs, respectively). So the upgrade just in time.

The change in appearance slightly: red “crest” on the hood “flattened” (apparently to make it less hazardous for pedestrians), plus he had a “continuation” on the grill. Oh and we drive now a different design. Dimensions, respectively, were also the same: the length is 4945 mm, width – 1845 mm, height – 1470 mm wheelbase 2875 mm (the size of the current Mazda 6: 4865/1840/1450 mm, distance between axes – 2830 mm).

Inside is now blue-gray finish, added the decor is “carbon”, at the base of the Central tunnel appeared a platform for wireless charging, in addition replaced the selector box. Multimedia screen no more (10 inch), but, as stated in the FAW, upgraded voice control system (it works faster). The equipment list also includes (depending on configuration): panoramic sunroof, camera circular review, cruise control, monitoring system “blind” zones, frontal collision prevention and warning about withdrawal from the occupied bandwidth, heated front and rear seats.


The main new petrol “turboservice” CA4GB15TD-30 1.5 issuing 169 HP and 258 Nm (FAW development). Engine combined with seven-speed robotized transmission with two clutches. Claimed fuel consumption is 6.2 l/100 km with this engine, the sedan will gain first “hundred” in 9.2 seconds. The same “turboservice” 1.8 (also from FAW) remained in the ranks, she also works in tandem with 6АКП. But the motor is upgraded, it is now designated as CA4GC18TD-30 (was CA4GC18TD-11): value increased from 180 to 197 HP, maximum torque is now 320 instead of 250 Nm. In addition, senior engine has acquired a 48-volt starter-generator, passport now fuel consumption is 6.4 l/100 km (was 7.1 l/100 km). From zero to “hundreds” H5 1.8 T accelerates for 8 seconds. Drive – only the front.

Contrary to expectations, with the emergence of a younger engine sedan significantly cheaper did not: for a model with 1.5 T ask at least 145 800 yuan ($20 800), updated “cityradio” with the top engine is from 162 800 yuan ($23 300). The price of the pre-reform Hongqi H5 1.8 T – 800 from 146 yuan ($21 000). Well, Mazda 6 (in China it is called Atenza) will cost at least 175 800 yuan ($25 100).
