Skoda has begun delivering the updated Kodiaq crossovers to its European dealers. The first market that received a reform model was the Spanish one, where the car appeared on the official website of the brand in the configurator section the day before. Judging by the information published in it, prices for the restyled crossover will start at 26,680 euros at the current exchange rate.
With the update, the Czech SUV received a number of options that its predecessor did not have. Head optics, for example, are already LED from the basic configuration, and matrix headlights can be selected for an additional fee. The taillights have been reshaped and the rims have undergone styling changes.
Inside, the changes were minor: this is a new 2-spoke steering wheel, which appeared on other Skodas last year, as well as an expanded outline lighting and an enlarged screen of the multimedia system to a maximum of 9.2 inches.
In addition, from now on, “Kodiak” can be ordered with front seats with massage function, as well as with a leather front panel. The Canton sound system now has ten speakers instead of eight, and new sensors have appeared in the rear bumper.
The Spaniards will be offered a reformed crossover with 1.5 TSI (150 hp) and 2.0 TSI (190 hp) petrol turbo engines, as well as an upgraded 2.0 TDI turbodiesel in 150 or 200 hp versions. “Mechanics” is available only for the base 150-horsepower engine. For the rest, an exclusively 7-band “robot” DSG is offered. The drive can be either front-wheel drive or full.
The basic version of the Skoda Kodiaq with a 1.5-liter 150-horsepower engine and front-wheel drive is estimated at 29 thousand 680 euros. For the maximum version of equipment with a 2-liter 200-horsepower “diesel”, “robot” and all-wheel drive, they ask for 47 thousand 280 euros.
In Ukraine, prices for a pre-reform SUV are now starting at UAH 839,100 (about $ 30,200) for the version with a 180-horsepower 2.0-liter TSI and DSG “robot” in the basic Ambition configuration.
