Rare driving simulator Pininfarina will be put under the hammer

It can fetch $ 164,000.

Pininfarina has already gone down in the history of the automotive industry as one of the coolest car designers. For nearly a century, the legendary Italian company has created several iconic models such as the Sigma and Ferrari 458.

But did you know that Pininfarina has also designed several driving simulators? And they are not intended for children, but are a welcome gift from many adult drivers. The Leggenda eClassic Simulator was created in collaboration with the Classic Car Trust (TCCT) and will soon be auctioned off.

The model gives you the thrill of driving a classic car and looks like a Cisitalia 202, a 1940s grand tourer (the original had two seats). The interior is finished in Connolly leather in Marrone Tobacco, and the body itself is in the historic shade of Argento Vivo. Towering over the simulator is an oversized curved widescreen TV that transports the driver to famous locations around the world.

Sold at RM Sotheby’s, this piece is the first of nine handcrafted at the Pininfarina factory in Cambiano. The auction will take place on September 17, 2021. It is expected to bring in about $ 164,000.
