Renault Megane hatchback has got an E-Tech hybrid power plant. The Megane station wagon had this one a year ago, but now the choice of bodies with it has doubled (alas, the sedan is deprived of attention). Under the hood is an aspirated 1.6 and two electric motors connected by an unusual multimodal transmission without clutches. The combined output of the system reaches 160 forces, and the 9.8 kWh battery provides the car with 50 km of travel on electric only in the combined WLTP cycle and up to 65 km in the urban WLTP cycle. The EV button can be forced to switch to pure electric traction at any time.
Hybrid E-Tech always starts on pure electric power and starts the internal combustion engine only with a set of speed. Average fuel consumption is 1.2 l / 100 km, CO2 emissions are 28 g / km.
By the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022, we are waiting for the Megane E-Tech Electric (Megane-E, CMF-EV platform) based on the eVision concept. Teasers show the stern, interior with multi-story storage system on the console and tunnel, vertical ventilation deflector separating the digital tidy and the center screen.
Sales of the hybrid hatchback in Europe started last week. The price ranges from 37,300 to 41,000 euros, depending on the configuration, of which there are four (Business, SL Limited, Intens, R.S. Line). The basic equipment (in general, similar to the equipment of simple gasoline analogues) includes a Multi-Sense mode change system, a 10.2-inch digital tidy with graphics switching, an electric parking brake with an Auto-Hold function, an organizer for charging cables in the trunk. The two older versions also rely on Easy Park Assist.
