Renault has released images and details of a new model: the Taliant sedan. The novelty replaced the Symbol model – this is the name of the second generation Logan for the Turkish market.
The new Renault Taliant sedan was developed on the modular CMF-B platform, which will also form the basis for new Lada models. The dimensions of the novelty are identical to the European third-generation Dacia Logan car: the wheelbase is 2649 mm, the length is 4396 mm, the width is 1848 mm (excluding mirrors), and the height is 1501 mm. Thus, the new Renault Taliant is 47 mm longer and 115 mm wider than its predecessor.
The power range of new items includes an atmospheric 65-horsepower engine and a 90-horsepower turbo engine. Both can be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, and a continuously variable transmission is also available for more powerful modifications. In addition, the new Renault Taliant can be purchased with a 100 hp bi-fuel engine.
The basic version of Renault Taliant Joy for 179 thousand 900 Turkish lira ($ 21 400) includes ABS, ESC and emergency braking system, front and side airbags in front, air conditioning, power windows for the front doors, as well as a radio system with USB and Bluetooth.
In the second and last available modification for Renault Taliant – Touch (from 207 thousand 900 liras) – there are electric and heated exterior mirrors, power windows for rear doors, a media system with an 8-inch screen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications, light and rain sensors, rear parking sensor and climate control.
Note that the trade name “Taliant” is also registered in Brazil, so it is possible that the new product will replace the Logan model in this country.
