The new generation Renault Kadjar, whose prototypes are already under development, will receive two versions of the body. One lengthened and the other sportier, the Renault Kadjar Coupe, due in 2023.
The new Renault Arkana won’t be the only coupe-like crossover to feature in the French automaker’s lineup. Renault plans to launch a second model with this sporty design, using as a starting point the 2022 Renault Kadjar, whose camouflaged prototypes have already been spotted by spy photos during testing.
Renault’s new generation of compact SUV will receive three body styles: a longer wheelbase variant and a Kadjar Coupe will be added to the traditional Kadjar. The latter is expected to debut in 2023 and go on sale in the first half of 2024.
The Renault Kadjar Coupe 2024 project, known internally as “DHN”, is expected to offer a different styling from the line’s little brother. The front end and B-pillars of the crossover will be copied from the “regular” Kadjar, retaining the same Megane eVision styling but with a few touches such as tinted headlights that accentuate sportiness. The sleek, sporty SUV from the B-pillar to the C-pillar will be completely new, different from the Arkana.
The brand’s designers have created a more personal style, with a roofline softer than Arkana’s sharp arched roof. The commercial name of the new Kadjar Coupe will be different. The engine line-up will consist of electrified petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants with e-Tech technology, with the most powerful versions getting all-wheel drive and automatic transmission.
