At the beginning of this year, the Renault group announced the launch of a new sub-brand, Mobilize, aimed at producing compact electric vehicles for car sharing and delivery services. Then the prototype EZ-1 was shown. Now, on its basis, three electric cars for different purposes were made at once.
Mobilize DUO is a two-seater electric passenger car for its own branded car-sharing. In terms of dimensions, it resembles a Citroen Ami and can accommodate two people. The manufacturer has confirmed that DUO will be 50% recyclable and 95% recyclable itself.
Mobilize BENTO is a DUO cargo variant designed primarily for delivery services. The volume of its cargo compartment is one cubic meter.
Mobilize HIPPO is an electric cart for the delivery of goods in areas where traffic on fossil fuels is prohibited, such as in closed warehouses or in city centers. Electric transport can take on board up to three cubic meters of cargo weighing up to 200 kilograms.
The first details about the technical stuffing appeared. So, cars will be equipped with from one to four battery packs with a capacity of 2.3 kilowatt-hours each and up to 9.2 kilowatt-hours maximum. The range is not reported, but for comparison, the aforementioned Citroen Ami with a 5.5-kilowatt battery can travel 75 kilometers at best. In other words, Mobilize cars will hardly be able to drive out of town.
