Official photos of Renault AIR4 – the first flying car of the brand have been published. From November 29, it will be shown to the public at the Paris Museum of the brand, and after that AIR4 presentations will be held in Miami, New York and Macau. This is reported by the official Renault website.
The new Renault AIR4 was created in collaboration with the American company TheArsenale. Basically, it is a large quadcopter with propellers instead of wheels. It has a two-seater cabin and a small trunk.
It is noteworthy that the design of the cab imitates the famous Renault 4 of 1961 – thus they decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the model. The body is made of carbon fiber, and the optics are LED. There are no doors – the entire cabin is raised.
Renault flying car is equipped with several electric motors and is capable of reaching 93.5 km / h. It takes off vertically and can climb to a maximum height of 700 m in just 50 seconds.
By the way, this is not the first concept car dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Renault 4. The iconic model has recently been turned into an original mobile home.
And soon Renault 4 will be revived, but in a new format – as an inexpensive electric crossover for 20 thousand euros. It will appear in 2023 or 2024.
