The Japanese company Lexus is preparing to debut a new generation of the NX crossover. New Cars reports that the new car will be shown to the general public at the Shanghai Motor Show, which opens on April 19 this year.
Official pictures of the novelty make it possible to assess the differences from the current version. The front part will change almost completely – the modernization will affect the optics, radiator grill and bumper. The taillights have also been redesigned – they have been combined into a monoblock.
The car interior receives a huge screen of the multimedia complex, facing the driver. Moreover, it has a horizontal orientation, which is not often found at such sizes. The new generation Lexus NX is based on the modular TNGA-K platform.
This architecture is also used for modern Toyota models – the Camry business sedan, as well as the RAV4 and Toyota Highlander crossovers.
The novelty is expected to appear in three different versions at once – NX 200, NX 350h and NX 450h +. That being said, the latest version is a rechargeable hybrid.
Meanwhile, Lexus has unveiled a new concept car called the LF-Z Electrified. Concepts are often surprised by their bold design, but the number of technologies here is very impressive.
