It looks like KIA has decided to update its CEED family mid-cycle. The prototype of the updated Proceed was first spotted in the tests, which should receive the latest technology, high safety and design, possibly inspired by the latest direction of KIA.
Recently, photos of the restyling of the KIA Forte / K3 were leaked online, a car that, despite not being explicitly associated with the Ceed lineup. From the photo, we can say that KIA has done a good job of restyling the model and the similar can be expected for the Ceed family in Europe. Since these are the very first spy shots of the Forte facelift, it is difficult to note the changes that will be made, but as with the i30 facelift, we can expect new engines such as the 1.5 T-GDi, the new CVVD 1.6 Turbo and the more powerful GT version.
KIA is also expected to add its innovative IMT transmission, an intelligent manual transmission with clutch-by-wire, which already has two options, one with and one without a clutch pedal.
It’s pretty hard to see what hides behind the heavy camouflage, but the changes will be no more than an update to the front and rear bumpers and a radiator grille, which also appears to have a different design. The headlights and taillights will also change their graphics. Forte should receive the latest security package, as well as a new multimedia monitor from 8 “to 10.25” and a digital instrument panel.
