In June 2021, Renault began testing the electric Megan E. A reader of the French magazine La Revue Automobile met a group of test prototypes and was able to photograph the interior.
The picture shows that the Megan E will have an L-shaped configuration of combined dashboards and multimedia systems, a compact steering wheel, seats with perforated trim. Renault Megan E, due to its electric drive, does not have a floor tunnel, which made it possible to better organize the space for storing small items.
According to preliminary information, Renault Megane E-Tech Electric will receive a 217-horsepower engine powered by a compact 60 kWh battery. A prototype model with this setup accelerated from 0 to 100 km / h in 8 seconds. The power reserve is 450 km according to the WLTP cycle.
The premiere of the new Renault Megane E-Tech Electric will take place at the Munich Motor Show on September 6-12, 2021.
