Richard Hammond launches new auto show

While the coronavirus is making it difficult to film the Grand Tour in the desired format, the former Top Gear presenters have started their own shows. May is already cooking, Clarkson is mastering life on the farm, and Hammond is launching a new auto show.

Discovery + has given the green light to the first episode of Richard Hammond’s new car show, in which he will open a workshop near his home in Herefordshire, UK. This format of the show is not new, it will probably be something close to “Fast and Loud” by Richard Rawlings. This show is also coming out on Discovery.

The new show so far has only a working title – “Richard Hammond’s Workshop”. It will be a reality show showing the work of real business, with all its ups and downs. Together with Hammond, a father-son duet represented by Neil and Anthony Greenhouse will work in this workshop. The guys will work on barn finds, rare classic cars, and an extensive collection of cars from Richard Hammond himself.

Richard Hammond said:

“I have spent 25 years criticizing other people’s machines, and now I will show my own work. My grandfather was a car builder who worked at Jensen. Who knows, maybe I inherited some of his skills. So this is a real business, a real project, I really hope that people will enjoy watching the ups and downs throughout the series! ”
