The presented Mercedes-Benz car is notable not only for its age, but also for the very history of vehicle ownership. The preliminary estimate of the commodity lot is $ 4 million at the current exchange rate. According to Robb Report, only 146 such models of the Mercedes-Benz 26/120/180 S-Type with a supercharged engine were produced in the period from 1926 to 1930.
The standard performance of the 6.8-liter “six” is 120 horsepower, but the installed Roots supercharger increased it to 180 hp. The 26/120/180 S-Type has had many celebrities among its fans. And this car has been in one family since 1964, and in 1968 it went through a large-scale restoration.
In 2016, this Mercedes-Benz passed to the heirs of the last buyer. They ordered a repainting of the body in black with copper elements. It is interesting that in 1964 only 15 thousand dollars were paid for this car.
