Rolls-Royce has announced the appointment of a new chief designer. It was 48-year-old Danish specialist Anders Worming, who was previously responsible for the exterior of BMW and MINI cars. This was reported by the press service of the British brand.
Warming joined Rolls-Royce from his own firm, Warming Design, which he founded in 2019. Prior to that, he held executive positions in the BMW Group for almost 20 years, developing exteriors for MINI and BMW cars. In particular, he designed the BMW X3 crossover and Z4 sports car, as well as the third generation MINI cars.
“He will play a key role in the search for our future design direction to satisfy all the dreams and desires of the brand’s customers. Anders joins us at the crucial moment when we launch the full electrification of our brand, ”said the head of the British luxury car manufacturer Thorsten Müller-Otvos.
The former chief designer of Rolls-Royce was Josef Kaban, who joined the British in early 2019 from Skoda. At the same time, the Czech specialist worked for the luxury brand for only six months – in October 2019, he resigned due to the “search for new interests.” In 2020, Kaban became Volkswagen’s chief designer.
