The Land Rover SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) division has prepared the next special version of the Defender SUV, with black decor, 22-inch discs, bright blue brake calipers and backlighting in the form of 007 numbers. The 25th James Bond film No Time to Die, which will world premiere at the end of September. Defender V8 Bond will be released in a limited edition of 300 pieces.
Defender Bond will be available in 90 and 110 body styles and only with a 5.0 liter V8 engine that develops 525 horsepower. With this engine, the SUV accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.2 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 240 kilometers per hour.
Among the external differences of the “Bond” SUV from other Defenders are brake calipers in Xenon Blue, black alloy wheels, side skirts with a backlit inscription with the name of the special version and illumination of the space in front of the driver’s door with 007 numbers.
The Defender 007 logos and the “one of 300” plaque indicate that it belongs to the limited edition. In addition, when the entertainment system is turned on, an animated video about Land Rover’s contribution to the James Bond franchise starts on the screen.
The prototype of the special series was Defender, which starred in No Time to Die. Together with him, two Range Rover Sport SVRs, as well as a Range Rover Classic and a Land Rover Series III were involved on the set.
The action adventure No Time to Die directed by Carey Dzeji Fukunagi is based on the novel by Ian Fleming and starred by Daniel Craig.
