The 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 looks very cool and will be relatively inexpensive.
The Meteor 350 has all the hallmarks of a good, affordable motorcycle, but it can be difficult to find buyers in the US. Perhaps the situation will be different in other markets, including the Ukrainian one.
The Meteor 350 is an odd little motorcycle. It has many of the characteristics of the cruising segment that fans of old-school American models will find familiar. It also has elements from British classic motorcycles (remember Triumph from Three Meters Above Sky?).
The heart of the Meteor 350 is the air-cooled, single-cylinder injection engine with balance shaft. It produces a meager 20 horsepower, but it looks beautiful and sounds surprisingly nice. The new 5-speed gearbox is also worth noting.
The front suspension consists of non-adjustable 41mm fork stays. The rear is a classic pair of shock absorbers with springs that can only be adjusted for preload.
Front braking is handled by a single 300mm Bybre dual-piston caliper and a 270mm disc and single-piston caliper at the rear. This combination is excellent given the low power of the engine.
For newbies, the good news is that the Meteor comes standard with dual channel anti-lock brakes (ABS).
The start of sales of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in the US is scheduled for early May this year. Prices start at $ 4,399, which is very little by the standards of a rich country.
