SEAT will continue its presence in the competitive European “A” segment with a new urban electric vehicle due in 2025. Like the upcoming successor to the Toyota Aygo, the model, which will be smaller than the upcoming Born, will be shaped like a crossover. This means that one of its competitors will be at least several versions of the recently announced Dacia Spring.
Like the first electric car of the Romanian brand, the unnamed SEAT model will have a competitive price, from about 20,000 to 25,000 euros.
It is planned that in 2025, simultaneously with the Volkswagen ID.1, the new SEAT EV will share a platform with its German cousin with a range of 300 km in the latest specification. In addition to the usual hatchback, the ID.1 family may also include the ID.1 Crozz crossover and the e-Roomzz van.
In a few months, the plant will be announced, which plans to produce a new small electric car. The concept of this new product will be tentatively presented before the end of the year. In other related news, SEAT has confirmed that the Cupra Tavascan will arrive in 2024. This model will be the brand’s second electric car after Cupra Born, due out later this year.
