Lexus continues its teaser campaign for the second-generation NX compact crossover, which will premiere on Saturday 12 June. This time, the Japanese posted a photo giving some idea of the front end of the car.
The picture shows only the frontal quarter of the body of the new crossover with part of the headlights and rims. At the same time, the appearance of the model can already be judged by the screenshots from the official presentation video, which appeared a few months earlier. Compared to its predecessor, the Lexus NX will not undergo radical changes: the model will acquire different optics, as well as an enlarged radiator grille.
More significant changes await the salon. In particular, the new Lexus NX will acquire a virtual dashboard and will also lose the touchpad on the central tunnel: the main functions of the car can be controlled using the new enlarged touchscreen.
The technical stuffing will also change significantly: the second Lexus NX will share the main units with the Toyota RAV4, which, in turn, is created on the TNGA-K modular platform. The base engine should be a 2.5-liter engine, which will replace the current 2.0-liter “four”. In addition, it is possible that a new hybrid version will appear, as well as a version with a 3.5-liter V6 engine.
The premiere of the second generation Lexus NX will take place on June 12 at 06:00 Kyiv time.
