New Chinese manufacturer and sister brand Volvo has announced its entry into the motorcycle market and introduced its first product, the Benelli Hybrid.
The new Chinese naked has a lot in common with the Benelli TNT 600 and is painted in stylish black and yellow colors. The similarities between Lynk & Co and Benelli are a little confusing, but there is a logical explanation. The fact is that the Chinese company is a joint venture between Volvo and Geely (the Chinese giant is also the parent company of Volvo), that is, there are already close ties with Benelli, since in 2016 Geely bought a majority stake in the Italian brand from another Chinese company, Qianjiang, which has owned Benelli since 2005. Ultimately Benelli and Lynk & Co are owned by the same company.
Features of the first Lynk & Co motorcycle:
- 600cc 4-cylinder, DOHC
- torque 54.6 Nm @ 10,600 rpm
- power 85 HP at 11,500 rpm
- two-channel ABS? digital tidy with analog tachometer
- Brembo brake discs
- inverted telescopic fork
Lynk & Co was founded in 2016. The first car was released in 2017. The brand has established itself well as a manufacturer of quality cars with a pleasant interior. In addition, the brand tries to work directly with customers, avoiding dealer costs. Time will tell how successful the bike is.
