Polestar unveiled an experimental version of its # 2 model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The electric car has been significantly redesigned from the standard Polestar 2 to demonstrate the design and performance capabilities of the fastback.
Twin-engine Polestar 2 now produces a total of 476 hp. instead of the original 408 hp, it also has a wider track (+10 mm on each side) and a ground clearance reduced by 25 mm. There are also stiffer suspension springs, adjustable dampers? Hlins, different wheel arches and 21-inch wheels with Pirelli PZero Rosso tires and six-piston brakes at the front.
In addition to mechanical improvements, the electric car features front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a radiator grill, black mirror caps and a snow-matte body paint. The revised electric car will not only be a showpiece at Goodwood, but it will also take part in the high-speed climb up the hill. And one of the leading engineers of the company, Joakim Riedholm, will be behind the wheel.
Production of the serial Polestar 2 started last year in China. From here, the collected specimens are sent to Europe and North America. The fastback is equipped with two electric motors with a total output of 408 hp. and 660 Nm, which allows you to accelerate from zero to hundreds in 4.7 seconds.
