The CEO of the American company Tesla Elon Musk has confirmed that the all-electric Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck will be equipped with rear-wheel steering. He also separately added that the production Tesla Cybertruck will be much the same as its concept version.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently responded to a question about the production version of the Tesla Cybertruck on his Twitter page, hinting at three things.
First, the final production version of the electric pickup will be much the same as the previously seen test version, which has been seen on numerous occasions in California, Texas and New York. This means no changes from the previously shown concept in dimensions and only minor “refinements” of details.
“On Friday afternoons, Tesla’s design studio usually works. Cybertruck will be almost as shown initially. ”
Second, Tesla’s electric pickup will have rear-wheel steering to improve turning radius and maneuverability for such a large vehicle.
“We’re adding rear wheel steering so future Tesla Cybertruck owners can handle tight corners and get high maneuverability,” said Mr. Musk.
At the moment we do not know if this will only be basic rear wheel steering, which is used in some cars, or it will also have a special mode for driving diagonally, for example, Crab Mode, which is at the GMC Hummer electric pickup.
It should be noted that with up to three electric motors in the Tesla Cybertruck (two for the rear wheels and one for the front axle), Tank Turn Rivian is unlikely.
The third thing Elon Musk hinted at is that Cybertruck will feature many other “great things” that have not yet been revealed.
