Eight states will use iPhones in lieu of driving licenses.
The US authorities went to meet the large IT giant Apple and now, according to pepelac.news, in 8 states of the country iPhone smartphones can be used instead of driving licenses. This opportunity appeared after it became possible to save rights in the Wallet application and then use it along with a physical identity.
Let’s clarify that the innovation can be used in Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, Georgia and Utah. People will be able to show their phone instead of a document not only to the police, but also at some airports as proof of identity. Gradually, the list of places where the phone can claim digital rights will expand.
In turn, Apple noted that using the Wallet application is safe, and in the event of theft of the phone, there is the possibility of remote blocking or destruction of all data.
