Skoda continues to fuel public interest in the Enyaq Coupe iV, a coupe-like version of its first electric crossover, the Enyaq. In anticipation of its debut, which will take place on January 31, 2022 in Prague, the Czech brand has published design sketches of the novelty in a three-quarter front view. On one of them, to show continuity, the Enyaq Coupe iV was placed next to the Popular Sport Monte Carlo coupe – one of the most unusual Skoda models from the 30s of the last century.
In addition to the sloping roof and cut off stern, the coupe-like model is distinguished by a body length increased by a symbolic four millimeters, as well as larger wheels: their dimensions vary from 19 to 21 inches, while the “regular” Enyaq is equipped only with 18-inches … The back part is not visible in the sketches, but it is noted that it has the same Skoda inscription, on the sides of which there are branded C-shaped lights.
Enyaq Coupe iV distinguished itself with one of the lowest aerodynamic parameters in the class – 0.234 (0.27 for Enyaq). Thanks to this, the range has increased: the cross-coupe will be able to travel up to 535 kilometers on the WLTP cycle – 25 kilometers more than the long-range version of the Enyaq crossover. As a result of the redesign of the roof line, the volume of the trunk under the shelf has decreased by 15 liters – to 570.
It is known that already in the “base” Enyaq Coupe iV will receive a panoramic roof, as well as LED optics. For a surcharge, Skoda will offer matrix lighting technology and illumination of a plug installed in place of the radiator grill.
Standard will be a single-engine power plant, delivering 179 horsepower, combined with a battery with a capacity of 62 kilowatt-hours. In the “middle” version, the cross-coupe will receive a 204 horsepower engine and a 77 kilowatt-hour battery, and the most powerful modification will be driven by a twin-engine unit with a total output of 265 horsepower.
