Skoda has unveiled its new concept pickup called Mountiaq. As the press service of the Czech brand, is a name that captures the spirit of adventure and off-road. The car was built on the basis of a large crossover Kodiaq. On a prototype worked 35 students design schools of the Czech brand. The development took about eight months.
Compact two-door pickup truck has received a brand new body orange color with a sporty silhouette and a cargo platform. The truck is equipped with large air intakes, additional protection of the body and the winch. Also the truck was equipped with 17-inch wheels Rockstar II tires for off-road. Driver available multimedia system Columbus, special radio and audio system with external usilitel and subwoofer.
Length Mountiaq is 4,999 mm, width 2,005 mm, height – 1710 mm. The wheelbase of the new items is equal to 2788 mm and a ground clearance of the car by 10 mm more than the Kodiaq Scout: (mm – 194 mm). The weight of the truck is 2,450 pounds. The car is equipped with 2.0-liter petrol engine. The engine power is 190 horsepower.
“As with previous concepts, Mountiaq demonstrated high technical skills and our students. Every year prove the high professional training in our school”, – said the head of the Academy of Skoda Karsten Brandes.
This project will be the sixth. Informed students of Skoda presented a concept convertible Sunroq created on the basis of a small crossover Karoq. The prototype has dimensions of the original model, it had lost its roof, but retained the rear doors. The cross-cabriolet is equipped with a 1.5 liter supercharged engine, whose power is not specified. The engine enables the car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
