Skoda’s electric hatchback could debut in 2024.
The Czech company is preparing to launch its compact electric car right after the Volkswagen ID.3. Actually, this is not the first story when the Skoda brand is building a new model based on Volkswagen products. For example, the Skoda Octavia is actually based on the Volkswagen Golf.
Skoda’s upcoming compact hatch has already been shown in renderings and is nothing more than the Czech brand’s own take on the Volkswagen ID.3 with a distinctive styling inspired by the Enyaq iV concept.
What will distinguish these two machines? Obviously, ID.3 will remain a more expensive alternative offering more functionality to its customers. In return, Skoda’s compact electric car will receive some proprietary Simply Clever solutions in an attempt to attract practical buyers.
Skoda is expected to unveil its all-electric hatchback in 2024. With that in mind, we will probably find out more in the coming months and years, so it remains for us to stay tuned for updates.
