Three models of Skoda has got a new multimedia system with voice assistant Laura and downloads the driver profile from the cloud. We are talking about an adapted version of the Modular Infotainment Matrix (MIB3), which in addition to Octavia now set on a Superb, Karoq and Kodiaq.
Multimedia MIB3 is available in three versions: basic navigation Bolero and Amundsen, as well as a top Columbus, with the Central diagonal display eight or 9.2 inches. By default, they are all equipped with built-in SIM card, therefore, and the maps are updated “over the air”. In addition, there is support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink and specialty applications. Voice assistant Laura understands 15 languages and is able to parse fluent speech in Czech, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
After upgrade the multimedia system USB ports-A on the center console were replaced by the latest USB-P Plus one optional port, intended for connection of, for example, the DVR can be set next to the salon mirror.
However, the main innovation MIB3 – ability to store personal settings “in the cloud”. Just the on-Board system can record up to 14 main and one guest profile, and, if necessary, to access it from any other car that Skoda Connect accounts. Data – position adjustment of mirrors, the installation of climate control, lighting and virtual “tidy” – is stored on a remote server and are continuously synchronized.
