After a short advertising campaign, Ford unveiled the 2021 Ranger Raptor Special Edition pickup. Designed for Europe only, it is available in limited quantities and has an improved exterior and interior design.
The pickup, due to arrive at dealerships in October, will be available in Performance Blue, Conquer Gray or Frozen White with two matte black racing stripes edged with red contrasting lines. The front tow hooks are painted red, while the radiator grille, front and rear bumpers, flared wheel arches and door handles are matte black.
The 2021 Raptor Special Edition interior features standard high-grain leather with red contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, door cards and dashboard. the latter being given an exclusive gray racing track style. The Raptor name appears on the front seatbacks, and in addition, buyers will find the usual amenities found in regular sports truck variants.
Power is provided by a 2.0-liter 2-cylinder diesel engine that develops 213 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with Terrain Management, which improves traction on difficult surfaces and includes a Baja Driving Mode. The suspension uses double wishbones at the front and multi-link architecture at the rear. Shock absorbers are made by FOX and the all-terrain tires are by General Grabber AT3.
