Sony and Yamaha will develop unmanned buses for Golf clubs

A number of companies are working on Autonomous shuttles, but not so long ago this was announced, two major Japanese companies — Yamaha and Sony.

This model, called “SC-Cart 1 Sociable”, declared the “Union of Autonomous driving technologies Yamaha Motor and Sony technologies to create entertainment vehicles.” The company has not yet started to talk about used in car technology Autonomous driving, but did confirm that the Shuttle is equipped with advanced cameras, ultrasonic sensors and liderom. The brand also confirmed that photos taken by the canoe, loaded to the cloud, and it allows remote control of the vehicle.

Square style is not very interesting, but the Shuttle has no Windows — instead, there are four 55-inch LCD display. The company said that they projected video and images to passers-by.

Sony also mentioned something a little more creepy. Using camera space Shuttle and artificial intelligence technology, the vehicle can determine attributes such as age and gender of people standing nearby. Using this information, the external display can then display ads specifically to those people.

Apart from the function of the Billboard, SC-1 Sociable Cart has 5-seater interior layout, and a 49-inch display. It displays a variety of information and even allows passengers to see the situation outside at night without using headlights. The company didn’t talk too much about technical specifications but confirmed that the SC-1 is Sociable Cart regenerative braking and lithium-ion battery that can be replaced. The Shuttle is also equipped with a motor, which allows you to accelerate to a speed of 19 km/h.

Sony and Yamaha are going to launch SC-1 Sociable Cart in the next few months, and it will be used in entertainment places, such as “Golf courses, amusement parks and commercial facilities”. However, the companies have no plans for commercial implementation of the project.
