VW Commercial Vehicles and ABT Sportline has released details about the all-electric version of the upgraded Transporter van model year 2020. A reserve equal 138,4 km, the car is worth $ 50,000.
Dubbed the ABT e-Transporter 6.1 and is based on the VW Transporter 2020, electric commercial vehicle available in the following body: van with extended wheel base, Kombi or Caravelle, as well as in configurations with right-hand and left-hand drive.
Depending on specifications, the ABT e-Transporter 6.1 offers a cruising range of up to 138 km in accordance with the international standard WLTP.
Rechargeable battery has a usable capacity of 32.5 kWh (total power 37.3 kW·h) and supplies electricity to the engine producing 83 kW or 113 HP, which provides instant available torque of 200 Nm.
It’s not impressive numbers, especially considering the fact that one battery weighs 333 kg. However, Studio ABT Sportsline positions its novelty as a city van, and in this case, such specifications are adequate. Maximum load capacity varies from 977 to 1096 kg in the model with long wheelbase. In the version of the Kombi or Caravelle, the machine can carry up to nine people.
E-Transporter with options available maximum speed: 90 or 120 km/h with a power reserve of 105 and 138 km, respectively. Fully charging the battery takes about 5.5 hours using a wall-mounted AC unit with a capacity of 7.2 kW, while the fast charging station (CCS) with a capacity of 50 kW to replenish the battery to 80 percent capacity in approximately 45 minutes.
