Subaru has already started testing the new XV cross-hatch. At the same time, about a year is left before the debut of the next generation car. Despite this long waiting period, independent designers have recreated the look of the 2023 Subaru XV.
Judging by the published renders, the Japanese cross-hatch will undergo quite serious changes, but retain its recognizable appearance. The future Subaru XV will acquire a sportier appearance due to an elongated front end with rounded sides and an elongated head optics connected by a metal strip. The bumper has been replenished with extended air vents with large plastic inserts, which give the Japanese model an aggressive look. The sporty look is emphasized by the “muscular” wheel arches with additional body kit.
According to rumors, the interior of the new Subaru XV will be made in the style of the latest WRX. The Japanese cross-hatch will receive a large 11.6-inch touchscreen monitor built vertically into the center console. An increase in the size of the touchscreen will lead to the fact that the number of physical keys in the cabin will decrease. In addition, Subaru XV should be equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an induction charging platform.
It is expected that the Japanese model will be equipped with a proprietary security complex, which includes tracking systems for “blind” zones, movement centering, all-round visibility and others. The base of the cross-hatch will be the same platform, but the structure will have increased torsional rigidity. Probably, by default, the new Subaru XV will be equipped with a 1.5-liter supercharged engine, which can be replaced with a 1.8-liter turbo engine for a surcharge. The latter is combined with an electrical unit. In a number of countries, the car will retain a 2.5-liter boxer engine with a return of 182 hp.
