We managed to discuss the new Suzuki GSX-S950 2021 motorcycle, and now let’s take a closer look at the base Suzuki GSX-S1000 model, which has been slightly updated.
First, let’s note an important fact. The 2021 Suzuki GSX-S1000 is based on the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000 chassis and motor, which is now Euro5 compliant. The redesigned engine develops 150 hp. power and 106 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous version of the Suzuki GSX-S1000, the 2021 model is equipped with cams with a new profile, updated ignition settings, changed catalyst settings.
Of course, design is the first thing that catches your eye and raises many questions. It looks aggressive and bold, but not everyone appreciated it.
In terms of electronics, the Suzuki GSX-S1000 2021 is very modest. Suzuki engineers have added ignition maps with the ability to switch between them. There is a customizable traction control and ABS. The motorcycle is equipped with a clutch with a help system, a quickshifter, but there is no IMU system, which is necessary for an angled ABS.
The 2021 Suzuki GSX-S1000 weighs 212 kg. Quite a lot even with a full tank of almost 23 liters. The braking system is assembled from 310 mm front discs with 4-piston Brembo calipers. Fully adjustable suspension – KYB.
