Tesla Model 3 has set a new record in crash test Euro NCAP

Electric sedan Tesla Model 3, which recently went on sale in the European market, has passed the crash test organisation Euro NCAP. The car has managed to establish an absolute record of tests, scoring 94% in terms of active safety systems. Previously, the best result belonged to Citroen C5 Aircross crossover scored 82% on this indicator.


In standard tests of front and side kicks saloon also received good results. For the safety of the driver or an adult passenger Model 3 received a 96 percent, the only vulnerable spot was discovered in a frontal collision over the entire width and with a pillar. In the first case, non-ideal was the protection of the passenger – it is evaluated only as “sufficient”, and in the second case a low rating Tesla has received for the protection of the driver.

Safety child occupant experts Euro NCAP was estimated at 86 percent – in a frontal collision protection of the child at the age of 10 years admitted low, but other indicators were assessed as good.

But the numerous driver AIDS, in particular the assistant of the retaining strip and the system of Autonomous emergency braking, helped electric sedan set a new record test – on video published by Euro NCAP, shows how accurately and quickly trigger the sensor Model 3, allowing him to avoid an accident even in the dark and in reduced visibility.
