American insurance Institute of road safety (IIHS) has published the latest results of crash tests. Tesla Model 3 for the first time received the highest score in all categories of tests and has become the second electric car in history (after the Audi e-tron), who are the leaders of the rating of Top Safety Pick+. Other things, shortcomings of the model do exist.
According to the IIHS report, in the most complex form of testing – crash test that simulates a head-on collision – identified “moderate risk of injury” of the left tibia driver Tesla Model 3. Other tests of the electric car handled perfectly, whereas the result of a more expensive Model S were not so impressive. As for the third model in the Arsenal of the Tesla Model X, its level of safety experts from IIHS not yet rated.
