The Chinese YouTube channel Car Crash Test posted a video of an unusual test involving Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.6 Crozz. During the crash test, experts tested the strength of electric crossovers during a head-on collision at a speed of 64 kilometers per hour. As a result of the impact, both models received significant damage, but the German electric car did better in the extreme crash test.
For an unusual test, experts dispersed the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.6 Crozz to 64 kilometers per hour and pushed them head-on. Both electric crossovers suffered serious damage to their bodies after the impact. At the same time, despite the deployed airbags, the mannequins in both electric cars hit the doors and seats several times. The electric car interior was practically not damaged.
Experts managed to avoid electric cars from burning, but as a result of the impact of the door, Tesla Model Y immediately blocked it. In addition, the battery of the crossover was seriously damaged. At the same time, the Volkswagen ID.6 Crozz managed to avoid damage to the batteries with less damage.
In mid-April, the Euro NCAP association published a video of the failed crash test Dacia / Renault Logan and Sandero Stepway of the new generation. Both models received unsatisfactory safety ratings.
