Genesis held a promotional photo session for the new GV60 cross-coupe. During it, eyewitnesses managed to photograph a car without camouflage for the first time. The premiere of the first electric SUV of the Korean brand, given the launch of the preparation of promotional materials, is just around the corner.
Judging from the photos, the GV60 will feature fashionable retractable door handles, cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, a custom C-pillar, as well as sophisticated multi-spoke wheels and proprietary two-piece “diode” rear optics.
Not as much is known about the technical side of the model as we would like. Most likely it will be close to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which is based on the modular E-GMP platform and uses an 800-volt electrical system with the ability to quickly recharge as a power plant.
The main feature of the exterior of the new Genesis GV60 will be a lightning-shaped insert on the C-pillar, which creates the effect of the so-called “floating roof”. In addition, attention is drawn to the rear spoiler and body kit made of unpainted plastic around the body.
How the interior of the GV60 will look like is already known. The cross-coupe salon was revealed in early summer on spy photos. As you can see in the pictures, the models will have a digital instrument panel and a multimedia touchscreen, combined into a single cluster, an unusual climate control unit and round door handles.
The new Genesis coupe crossover will go on sale before the end of 2021.
