The jury of the Women’s World Car of the Year competition announced the winners of this award in each of the categories presented.
The best cars for the Women’s World Car of the Year were chosen by women journalists from 38 countries around the world. Peugeot cars won in two nominations at once: model 208 became the best city car, and Peugeot 2008 won as the best urban crossover.
The Skoda Octavia model became the best in the “Best Family Car” segment, while the Lexus LC 500 convertible overtook the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Rolls-Royce Ghost, snatching the victory in the “Lux” nomination. The Ferrari F8 Spider became the best supercar, while the Land Rover Defender, which competed with the Mercedes-Benz GLA and Hyundai Tucson, won in the class of midsize crossovers and SUVs. The first place in the segment of large crossovers went to KIA Sorento.
Ford F-150 and Honda e won the nominations for “Best 4×4 and pickup” and “Best electric car” respectively. On International Women’s Day, March 8, the overall winner of the Women’s World Car of the Year will be announced.
